I’m giving up writing book reviews. There’s lots of book reviews out there, and I have no interest in adding to the pile of conventional wisdom. I will still however, gentle readers, let you know which books I’ve finished reading and which ones I think are worth reading.
“First, Break All the Rules, What the World’s Greatest Managers Do Differently” by Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman is on my MUST READ list. Yes, I’m shouting. Sorry. It’s a good book. It’s smart, based in fact, solid research, and analysis, and it gives much practical, actionable advice. It confirms many thing that I’ve practised intuitively for many years, and corrected my thinking on others.
My recommendation: must read.
